Education and Care

Education and Care

Our members of staff are all very experienced in the education and care of young children. They have regular mentoring, training and supervision sessions to improve and develop their skills.

This gives the children who attend a solid foundation on which to begin their journey through to school.

As a small setting, we are able to meet individual needs in a warm and friendly environment. Our ability to support the children during their transition to school is a real strength of the setting.

Staff work closely with the children, and track the progress they make in their Learning Journeys. You are invited to view these at any time.

We value your contributions as parents, and will happily meet with you to discuss any issues or concerns. More serious concerns can be raised with the manager, or the Head Teacher of the school Chris Roynon.

We encourage all parents to join Seesaw, the school's secure communication network, with which you can contact us direct.

We use development matters to ensure we are developing the right skills in children at the right pace. Our work ensures excellent foundations and helps build towards the Foundation Stage Profile (see below) which is a statutory document used at the end of the reception class at Mousehole School.
